Put-in-Bay Ohio

Put-in-Bay Ohio is a village located on South Bass Island in Put-in-Bay Township, Ottawa County, Ohio, United States.
Our primary industry is tourism and the Put-in-Bay Ohio tourist season is from early April thru the last weekend in October. Over one million visitors annually flock to our tiny island to enjoy the wide variety of attractions, dining, and the famous Put-in-Bay Nightlife.
Put-in-Bay Ohio is served by two ferry boat companies that transport our visitors to and from the island. The Put-in-Bay Airport accommodates visitors flying to the island and is the lifeline to the mainland in the winter months. Put-in-Bay appeals to all age groups with family-oriented activities including caves, wineries, a butterfly house, water sports, putt putt, and numerous educational and historical venus.
The island has a full-time k-12 school, post office, gas station, a bank & grocery store yet we do not have even one stoplight! Golf Carts are driven as cars on the island and are the most practical method of getting around to see the island. The Perch & Walleye fishing is among the best in the nation and a destination for sportsmen from all over the midwest.
The Perry Peace Memorial towers over 300 feet above the Put-in-Bay Ohio harbor with an observation deck that offers a panoramic view of the Bass Islands. The Memorial is an important part of Put-in-Bay History. On a clear day, you can see the skylines of Detroit, Toledo & Cleveland Ohio. An elevator makes the trip to the top of the Doric Colum an easy one.
